What discounts can you get with an NUS Extra card?

There are a good range of student discounts on offer with the NUS Extra card from a variety of retailers, with discounts ranging from 5% to 20%.

However, please check out the student discount directory as we have listed loads more stores where you can get student discounts, money off codes and offers where you don’t need a NUS Extra card.

Who is eligible for an NUS Extra card?

You must be 16 or over

You must be studying at an NUS-affiliated organisation

Amazon NUS Extra Discount - 10% off clothing, 5% off books, office, stationery, music, dvds, grocery, jewellery and kitchen and home products.

Superdrug NUS Extra Discount- 10% off everything both online and instore

JJB Sports NUS Extra Discount- 10%off everything including sportswear, trainers etc. Both online and instore

Ticketmaster NUS Extra Discount- Students can get ticket deals and online discounts on selected events

Play.com - 5% off any DVD, CD, Games, Gadgets, Toys or Clothing

Is the NUS Extra Card worth it?

If you are buying the card at the begininng of the year then you are more likely to recoup the cost of the cards. If you often use the shops, restaurants and services affiliated on the NUS Extra scheme then it is well worth.

However, remember that if you are buying it in July or August then you will only have a month or two before it runs out. Check out the Student Discount Card pages for student discounts that require no student discount card to see if you can get other discounts.
