Welcome to Student Discount Card’s First Blog Entry

After months of hard work, sweat and, OK I’ll admit it a few tears, Student Discount Card is up and running.
For those of you that are new to the site, which will be pretty much everyone at the moment, I found getting student discounts for buying stuff online quite a confusing business. There are quite a few different student discount cards out there and most of the time I was discovering that I could find better discounts using voucher codes which weren’t necessarily for students. And that’s where I had to idea to put this knowledge together to help other students out.
One of the first sections on the site I put together was the student discount card

As part of this I included a page to get student discounts with no card required. This is for times when you don’t have the right card for the retailer you want but still want a discount or deal.
For the more popular retailers, I have included an individual page for each. Please either use the search box in the top right hand corner of each page, or go to the retailers with student discounts page and look through the directory. If there is a merchant not there then please email me, twitter or facebook me and I’ll research it for you.
It will be an ongoing task to include more and more retailers, so if you want your student discount included then please contact me.
And finally, I will be using this blog to update you on the latest student discounts, deals and offers.

Here at Student Discount Card we’ve added more retailers to the discount directory. Most of them aren’t included on Student Discount Card schemes like NUS Extra. However, students can still get discounts on their online purchases by finding discount codes and using cashback sites.

We’ve been updating the latest student discount codes, offers and sales section so you can save even more money and make sure that student debt doesn’t get as big as it could do!
The Miss Selfridge sale is now on with up to 50% off. NUS Extra cardholders can get 10% off and you can get an extra 2.5% off if you buy through cashback.co.uk.
If your pulling pants have holes in the wrong places then Figleaves have a sale on it’s lingerie and underwear ranges. Brands include Calvin Klein, D&G and Elle Macpherson. There is no student discount for Figleaves but you can get 1% student cashback if you buy through cashback.co.uk.
If all that shopping is making you hungry then Pizza Hut are offering £10 off orders over £25 with a student discount code.
And a couple of more sales include Office and Firetrap, both with up to 50% off selected items.
Get Student Discounts For Designer Fashion Brands

Finding student discounts for designer clothing brands such as Superdry, Miss Sixty and Adidas isn’t easy. The online brand stores aren’t affiliated with the NUS Extra discount card scheme.
Don’t despair though, there are ways that you can get student discount on these and other designer fashion brands.
Buy Your Items Through Online Stores With A NUS Extra Discount
Online fashion retailers such as Very and Additions Direct retail some quality designer brands such as Diesel, Superdry Levis, Miss Sixty and more.
Both stores offer students 20% off their first purchase with the NUS Extra scheme.
Even if you don’t have an NUS Extra card, you can currently get 10% off by opening a Very account and entering student discount code XX829 at the checkout
Buy Your Designer Clothing Through A Discounted Store
M&M Direct regularly sell fashion brands at up to 75% less than in high street shops. They stock labels including Ted Baker, Henleys and Adidas.

The fashion directory for student discounts has had a revamp. It has been split into 5 different pages so you can easily find student discounts for particular fashion items you’re wanting to buy.
Women’s Fashion Student Discounts
The Women’s Fashion Student Discount page features 10 of the best student discounts for female fashion including 20% off womens clothing at New Look, 10% off at Miss Selfridge and the latest student discount offers and codes for Peacocks.
Men’s Fashion Student Discount
Men are not left out either with the Men’s Fashion Student Discount page. This has information on how to get student discounts on fantastic stores stocking funky men’s clothing ranges. Discounts of note include 10% off at Burton, the latest Bench discount codes and deals and a clever way of bagging 20% student discount off Superdry.
Lingerie Student Discount
If you’re pulling pants are falling apart then check out the Lingerie Student Discount page.
